| REHOMING YOUR PET
Rehoming your loved one is a difficult decision. The first thing you should know is we don't judge. We understand that sometimes life's circumstances change and people find themselves in situations where they can no longer keep their family pet. We would be more than happy to help you rehome your pet but there are rules we strictly adhere to. The pet should be altered and up to date on all their shots. If they are not, we would appreciate some financial assistance from the surrendering party to help pay for the animals while they're in foster care as well as their vet bills, as we vaccinate and spay and neuter all animals over the age of 6 months that come into our rescue, prior to adopting them to a family. All animals under the age of 6 months are vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed prior to being adopted.
Prior to meeting with your pet, you will be required to fill out an intake form. This form gives us specific information on your pet, its temperment and lifestyle. The pet must pass a temperment test, and you will be required to sign a surrender form stating that you have released your pet into our hands and that you have no further claim on the animal. And finally, if we do not have a foster home readily available, you or someone you know should be willing to foster your pet until a foster home opens up or the time comes for their new family to take them home. We have a list of pre-approved families who are ready to adopt a furry friend so if you are in a situation where you have to rehome your pet, please email us at info@littersncritters.com as we may have a home ready to take them in.
A word of caution, if you purchased your pet from a breeder or adopted from a shelter, please give them a call, as they may have it in their contract that they are to be notified that you can no longer look after your pet and they may take the animal back.
